Pressure Cooker Sealing Rings

Original Fissler sealing rings for the pressure cooker

The sealing ring in the lid of the pressure cooker ensures that pressure can be built up safely inside the cooker. Over time, this wears out. At Fissler you will find original sealing rings in various sizes that match your Fissler pressure cooker.

Fissler recommends the use of original parts. In addition to sealing rings, Fissler's range of replacement parts also includes high-quality pressure cooker valves and handles.

Pressure Cooker Sealing Rings

What is the purpose of the gasket ring in pressure cookers?

The Fissler safety system with patented technology consists of several components. The sealing ring ensures that the lid closes securely, and that pressure can build up safely. The lid consists of:

  • Fissler cooking crown with traffic light function for convenient regulation of the press
  • Euromatic cooking valve
  • Ergonomic Fissler safety handle with locking indicator
  • Sealing Ring

These attachments ensure that the pot is securely sealed and airtight. This means that pressure can be built up safely inside the pot to prepare food more quickly and save energy. This method of preparation is particularly gentle and preserves vitamins.

The gasket should be replaced after 2 years or 400 uses.

Cleaning your sealing ring

The sealing ring needs to be cleaned by hand:

  1. Remove the gasket ring and the other attachments
  2. Clean by hand with a damp cloth.
  3. Place the sealing ring back into the notch on the inside edge of the lid.
  4. Reattach the parts securely to the pot after cleaning.
  5. Make sure the cook valve gasket is seated in the designated notch and is tight against the cook crown. The sealing ring must also be reinserted in the notch provided in the rim of the lid.

When to replace your sealing ring?

The sealing ring should be replaced after 2 years or 400 uses. Further information can be found in the instructions for use or contact customer service for questions, customerservice@fissler.com
